RAIN — Resilience through Affordable and Inclusive Weather Insurance

In the April–September 2026 grant period, RAIN registered and verified 4,005 smallholder farmers (45% women) across Benue and Kaduna, sold 510 parametric insurance policies, delivered 2,193+ agro-weather alerts, and secured admission into the NAICOM regulatory sandbox — a pathway to licensing for parametric climate insurance in Nigeria.
